GET TO KNOW CARO.
- What is your favorite accessory? Where did you get it?
My rings and bracelets, which I wear everyday. Each one was given to me by someone very important in my life. My mum’s signet ring, my step-fathers Irish Claddagh, my fathers silver cuff engraved with two deer representing myself and my step-mother, and lastly my turquoise pinky ring, given to me by my sister/best friend just before she moved back to school in Ontario. I would not be who I am today without these people and these jewelry remind me everyday how important it is to never feel alone, and how much support I will always have in my life no matter my endeavors.
- Who do you look up to/admire?
I wish there was a simple answer, but truthfully I could not pick one person who has been more significant than another. As I have grown and changed from one stage of my life to the next there have always been a plethora of support from those I love most. Through all my ups and downs I have been shown that I have the strength to get through it, if only I allow others to teach me and support me along the way. So I guess my short answer is; I admire my family, and my friends through the years, for raising this little scallywag, as my dad calls me, into someone who has the desire and the drive, to be something they can all be proud of.
- When you’re not modelling, what else are you up to?
If you were to find me on a sunday morning, nothing to do for the day, it would probably look something like this; Me, sitting on the living room couch, Downton Abbey playing almost full volume, my cat Miso curled up on my lap, and a massive sketchbook in my hand. There would probably be a mix of acrylic paints and watercolour pens strewn about very haphazardly, and a half eaten piece of burrata and peach toast sitting beside my brush rinsing jar.
- Is there anything you wished would come back in (or leave and never return) in fashion?
Where do I start. Ugg boots, those white plastic cat eye sunglasses, cheetah print leggings. Though I would love to see leg warmers come back, don’t hate me for it.
